When I was trying to go to Google to get help with my email, this phone number came up on my screen, telling me that my gmail was locked because of suspicious activity and to call immediatele. I did, and a man purported to be a representative of Google, helping me with my gmail issue. He pursuaded me to allow him access to my computer, then told me that he was transferring me to Apple. Instead, I go some other guy who tried to sell me protection from hacking by telling me that my email was already hacked and that all my data was at risk. When I refused to give him credit card information, he jumped on me and accused me of trying to get help for free. I called Apple, and they told me this product is called "Scare Ware" and that I had no reason to be worried. They took me on my computer to make sure the guy had not left a hole to crawl back in my computer.
